Confirmed event details will be sent on Thursday from the event organisers (HRC and not 2KCUP)
The DRAFT program has the Saturday qualifying at 08:40, Race at 12:00. The Sunday group is practice at 08:30, race at 13:00. Documentation from 7:30am on both days with the event scrutineer asking anyone requiring a full audit to try make it on the Friday to avoid queues (total entries over 315).
Race format for the weekend is a 1 hour race for both days, both requiring a 60 second pitstop (complete stop) between the 20 and 40 min mark (during safety car is ok and you will have to time yourself). As per previous years we ask that the top 20 on the grid pit at the exit end of pitlane (Garages 1-16) and the bottom 20 pit in the entrance end of pit lane (17-32). The Saturday race is a normal gird start based off qualifying results, the Sunday being a reverse staggered start based off Championship points, with invited cars starting from 10th and flag drops at the 0 (1-10) 10 (11-20), 20 (21-30) and 30 (31+) second marks.
Following the races on both days there will be a BBQ at Mercer (10min drive north, next to the Waikato river) from 13:30 on the Saturday and 14:30 on the Sunday, this is to give everyone a chance to pack up and head up the road to talk over the end of the season. We are also making a point to the track management that if we cannot have a BBQ onsite during the day (due to a clash with catering contracts) that we will have to go elsewhere as the free is in our DNA as a series.

My 2c worth
Thanks to all those who made season 3 what it is and will be, especially those on committees who have been making sure the thing keeps on ticking. I am really looking forward to this weekend and not because I am leading in the points with Roman on the thinnest of margins, but on the thought of being on a grid with 40 other cars that are similar in pace and all going hammer and tong. My 2c worth is to remember there will be about 40 laps and 40 cars on the track, it’s not the end of the world if it takes a couple of corners to try pass someone, but if you try on every corner and don’t line things up correctly you might find yourself stuck for laps rather than corners.
