Round 3 has been and gone with series points being found at http://goo.gl/7KI3Ri – It lists series position as well as class position. Engine restrictors were not used at this round due to the rain being a huge factor in creating parity, it seems anyone with standard springs and dampers had a huge advantage. There was also no need for the cameras to be put in any cars so for the next round they are free for anyone to use, we may ask for it back if someone needs to be watched though.

Round 4

Round 4 is at Taupo and is now on the 1st of March, having previously being listed as the 28th. This is due to the Sunday having capacity for 3 grids of 2KCUP cars with full length races. Class stickers and 2KCUP series stickers will be issued at this round.

There will be another 7-10 first timers at this round, key thing to remember for Taupo is that the track can get narrow in places and that you must rejoin the track in full control of your vehicle. Our last round at Taupo resulted in a few cars being hit due to cars rejoining the track without full control, this being a result of trying to fit 4 wide on corners that normally take 2.

July 4th Enduro

On July 4th 2015 the 2KCUP are having an endurance race at Hampton Downs. This will be a team enduro but the exact details are still TBC, what has been decided to date can be found at http://2kcup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=457 with a vote on race length – It would be good to get as much feedback as possible so that I can lock down the exact details by the end of this month. If you need access to the private forum please let me know your forum username.

Things I want immediate feedback on, but feel free to comment on anything else:

-Race length, 6 or 9 or 12 hours long?
-Should teams be randomly selected for parity OR selected by car type so people can share parts OR drivers submit their selections for approval with rest being random.
-Does a random cash prize every hour of the race appeal to people, as teams drop out the chances of getting the cash prize raise.


If you are dual entering drivers you will need to make sure you both enter the round, TACCOC picked up some teams that had only entered one driver and would not allow the second to enter.

To enter dual drivers on motorsportentry.com you must enter twice, with the same car but different drivers, and for one of those entries select the payment method as cheque and the organizers will work it out (you may just have to mention it at documentation).

If your result is recorded incorrectly or your series points are incorrect, nothing will be done about it unless you notify someone who can do something about it. On the day you want to be talking to the time keeper and if its not fixed on the day, email me in the days following.
